Each year, Food Fort's Education Gala helps support our Feeding Our Future Scholarship program. Through this scholarship program, Food Fort is able to offer up to four $10,000 scholarships each year. These funds are awarded to prospective students with limited financial resources to pursue their academic goals. Our scholarship program is more than just the money, however, also connecting our recipients to our team and resources. This allows our team to support these youth with all of their needs, including financial, academic, social, and general adult life. Our team has helped connect our scholarship recipients with other financial support, have been directly involved with vital financial aid documents such as FAFSA, and have supported recipients with direct academic support within our office space. To date, the Feeding Our Future Scholarship program has awarded over $60,000.
2025 Recipients
This past May, our Board of Directors awarded three new scholarship recipients with $10,000 scholarships for their planned four years in college. All three of our recipients this year will be first-generation college graduates from both SCC and UNL and are enrolled in pre-health studies.
Our First Graduate
In May of 2024, we had the pleasure of celebrating our first Feeding Our Future Scholarship recipient's graduation! Our team was elated to be invited to his graduation, where he earned his Bachelor's in Applied Science after studying Building Construction Technology at SCC.
