Food Fort's 2025 Education Gala

Food Fort is also excited to announce Peter Ferguson as our guest speaker during this event! Mr. Ferguson is a Hasting College graduate with extensive leadership experience in empowering youth. He has served as the Director of the Lincoln/Lancaster Youth Advisory Council, Program Coordinator and Vice President of Leadership Lincoln, Director of the Clyde Malone Community Center, and Coordinator for Youth Development as well as Culture, Inclusion, and Scholar Development at Lincoln Public Schools. Mr. Ferguson has been awarded the NAACP Lincoln Community Service Award, the LPS Foundation Dr. Leola Bullock Multicultural Award, the UNL Diversity Community Impact Award, the UNL Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Fulfilling the Dream Award, the Lincoln YWCA Mentors and Allies Award, was included in the Lincoln Journal Star's top 20 under 40 as well as top 30 most influential men. 

We are excited to introduce Coach Bill Busch as our guest speaker for the 2025 Education Gala! Coach Busch previously served as a defensive coach for the Husker Football team, Wisconsin, Utah, Utah State, Ohio State, Rutgers, Nebraska Wesleyan, Northern Arizona, New Mexico State, and even won a National Championship with LSU in 2019. Coach Busch has worked with hall of fame coaches Urban Meyer, Tom Osborne, Barry Alvarez, Ed Orgeron, and Kyle Wittingham, has been recognized as a top 25 recruiter, was named defensive backs coach of the year in 2012, recruited two future #1 overall NFL draft picks, and currently co-hosts one of the most popular morning talk shows in Nebraska, "The Ticket, Early Break." Coach Busch uses his free time to support organizations and speak about "overcoming life's turnovers."
