Juan's story: I got involved with Food Fort when I was in middle school, playing soccer at Clinton Elementary with friends. After a long day of playing we went & had meals! Now, I am a recent graduate from Southeast Community College with the Associate of Applied Science in Building Construction Technology & am grateful to say that Food Fort had a huge impact on helping me succeed in & outside of
I got involved with Food Fort in 2017 when they were handing out flyers around the Clinton elementary neighborhood informing us about their organization. Ever since then we kept going and inviting other students. I am currently in a Bachelor’s of science in Nursing program at Bryan College of Health Sciences. My goal is to become a Nurse practitioner and eventually open my own clinic to help under
I initially got involved with Food Fort through Irma, who was already a scholarship recipient. Seeing how much Food Fort supported Irma, I decided to apply for their scholarship as well as I plan to continue my education. I will be studying Cosmetology and hope to someday open up my own hair salon.
I got involved with Food Fort my senior year of high-school! I had heard it was the first year they were going to be giving away scholarships and thought why not give it a shot? They seemed to be a great group of people with values that aligned with my own. I am now a Junior in college majoring in business administration with a focus in finance & real estate. My goals right now are to get through
